About Our Founder

Eric’s interest in Nutrition and how it affects performance and one’s overall health started when he was a high school wrestler struggling to make weight while maintaining strength and energy. Battling injuries from being malnourished frustrated him, which motivated him to learn as much as possible about the role of nutrition in effective athletic performance.

Joining the Army shortly after high school, Eric began experimenting with how training and food could increase muscle size (aka, Get SWOLL!) while still being able to be functional during his military training.

This early experimentation led Eric to get his B.S. in Nutrition and Foods with a minor in Business from Texas State University in 2007. After college, he immediately started educating individuals and groups in gyms and small clinics all over Austin about the importance of proper nutrition for effective performance in training and in life. Eric is now a Level 1 & 2 Precision Nutrition Coach and will begin studying for his M.S. in Functional Medicine.

Eric has a passion for pushing himself both mentally and physically inside the gym as well as out, and knows how to keep himself performing his best through proper recovery and nutrition. He has served in the Army since 1999 and in the Health and Fitness industry since 2007. During this time, he has been fortunate to work with hundreds of individuals from all walks of life, helping them become healthier and better performing humans.
